FANTASY FOOTBALL – Waiver Wire Adds Week 14

FantasyFootballNFL

Rotoprofessor.com breaks down their top waiver wire recommendations heading into the fantasy playoffs. Is it time for rookie wide receivers to take over?

It’s time folks, the fantasy football playoffs are upon us. Or they are upon us for many fantasy owners. I know a lot of leagues still have one more week in their regular season, but whether you’re gearing up for the playoffs this week or are in a must win battle to make the playoffs, you need to go in equipped to win your matchup with the best lineup possible.

As we always do on Monday’s we are going to be looking at the hot adds to make for this week, looking at what went down yesterday in the league and what the schedule looks like for Week 14. With a week that didn’t see many significant injuries we have to dig a bit deeper for adds this week, but here are the guys I am targeting right now:

Jameis Winston – QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: I think it’s pretty clear that the team you want to stream quarterbacks against is the New Orleans Saints. Week in and week out, without fail, someone is torching the Saints secondary and this week it’s Jameis Winston’s turn to make it happen.

As it is he is settling in as a consistent source of fantasy production after early inconsistency. He’s also getting it done with his legs now, running for a TD in four of his last six games. In the last four weeks the Saints have been torched by Brian Hoyer, Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins, so there’s no reason to think Winston won’t do the same thing.

DeVante Parker – WR, Miami Dolphins: We mentioned him last week, but it’s worth bringing back up because I think he is yet again one of the top WR adds. Despite offensive struggles from the team in general, Parker managed to catch three balls for 63 yards and a TD (this is now two weeks in a row with a TD grab). I don’t really have any confidence in Ryan Tannehill, but the matchup with the Giants is really appealing and the Dolphins seem to be intent on seeing what they have. I haven’t finalized my rankings yet, but I think he likely comes in Top 40 .

Dorial Green-Beckham – WR, Tennessee Titans: That explosive game everyone has been saying Dorial Green-Beckham has coming finally came yesterday against the Jaguars as he caught five passes for 119 yards and a TD. I’d probably have him as my top add of the week, but if Darrelle Revis is healthy that hurts the value a little bit. Marcus Mariota is starting to open up a bit more on offense and look downfield more than he was in the early part of the season. This is good news for Green-Beckham who has big things in store, just a little uncertain what happens this week.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins – TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: In a bit of a surprise Austin Seferian-Jenkins was cleared to play yesterday and started at tight end against the Falcons. Seferian-Jenkins caught only three balls in the game, but he was targeted the second most out of any receiver behind Mike Evans. We saw his upside way back in week one before the injuries started piling up. As we talked about already with Jameis Winston…
