Disable Hardware Acceleration

Q: I’m experiencing video breakup, pixelation or smearing when viewing streaming content on my PC, what can I do to fix this?

A: The issue is caused by Adobe Flash Player and affects a small number of Firefox and Internet Explorer users.  Chrome is unaffected by this issue.  If you wish to fix the problem in Firefox and IE, you will need to disable “Hardware Acceleration” in Flash Player – see below:

Here are the steps you need to take to fix the problem on your PC:

  1.  Right-click the video and select “Settings”:
  2. Make sure the monitor icon is selected on the bottom tab of the “Adobe Flash Player Settings” window:
  3.  Un-check “Enable hardware acceleration” and click “Close”:
  4. Restart your browser.  That’s it!  If you experience any other issues, please leave us feedback.
